Hire A Boss

Is it worth the money and time to hire yourself a boss on Upwork as a content creator?

Let’s find out, shall we?

This is the Job Description For The Boss I Hired on Upwork

I’m a new content creator and I need to hire a boss for myself.

These are the job requirements:

  • meet with me on a video call once per week for 30 minutes
  • bring ZERO distractions, ramblings, or small talk to these meetings
  • cut me off and redirect me to the checklist (described below) when I bring in a distraction, rambling, or small talk to the meeting
  • have an all-business vibe, a face that looks that way
  • have an enthusiastic and cheerful side that gets to emerge occasionally
  • take notes of what I say I will do by next week during the call and start our next call with asking what I have done from the list
  • I will pay $15 each week for these 30 minutes of your time
  • I will need to meet on a video call with you for about 5 minutes to determine if you’d be a good boss-nothing fancy, staged, well-lit, or formal. Just a quick intro.
  • There will be no other duties associated with this job so you should spend exactly 30 minutes each week doing it
  • If I cancel a meeting, I still have to pay you $15. Mention eddie candy in your reply. If you cancel a meeting, you have to pay me $1, unless you are cancelling because you are quitting.
  • This isn’t a joke. I seriously need the non-friend-based accountability. This is not a single’s ad either.
  • I’m trying this for one month, so 4 sessions
  • If it’s successful, I’d like to continue it indefinitely
